Apparently the batteries responsible for maintaining the Galaxy Z Fold 4 appeared in a regulatory body in South Korea. The document points to a capacity of 4,270 mAh for the duo, as Samsung separates the component in two and places each one on one side of this foldable with large proportions.

If confirmed, the information is not positive or even negative, as the user would not have any progress in this regard. As a typical battery capacity, Samsung should round the number to 4,400 mAh, exactly the same amount of power the current Galaxy Z Fold 3 can charge in the same components.

In the photos of the country’s regulatory body, two batteries appear even in two photos. The first one is called B-BF936ABY and offers 2,002 mAh, while the second uses the code EB-BF937ABY and is slightly larger, with 2,268 mAh of capacity.

Galaxy Z Fold 4 could bring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1

As this will be a completely new smartphone, it is expected that it will bring the best of the Android world to the processor. This certainly means the presence of a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, which is capable of reducing energy consumption in many moments, but the problem of this foldable must appear on the screen.

Currently the Galaxy Z Fold 3 uses a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with 120Hz refresh and brightness hitting 1,200 nits, spreading all those lumens in 7.6 inches. This component drinks energy with all the will in the world, whether for its generous size, or even for the resolution of 2,208 x 1,768 pixels.

Samsung will hardly change the screen, but because it probably won’t deliver more battery, it should try to change some component so as not to lose autonomy for the supposed Galaxy Z Fold 4. My guess is that the front screen will occupy even more of the place, growing in size and in energy consumption as a result.
