There’s no denying that ‘Sonic 2’ is the big opening of the week, and with that, Paramount weighed in all forms of promoting the film . So much so that the studio closed a partnership with football clubs, Grêmio and Internacional, and made a tweet comparing the rivalry between the characters Sonic and Knuckles with the duo of teams from Rio Grande do Sul. It is worth remembering that ‘Sonic 2’ is directed by Jeff Fowler and its premiere was last Thursday (7) in Brazilian cinemas. In addition, the franchise has secured a new film and a spin-off series.

Paramount Plans Cinematic Universe After ‘Sonic 2’

Sonic is about to get a third movie and a series, but the world of the blue hedgehog must be expanded into its own cinematic universe.

Those are the plans of Paramount, which doesn’t plan to stay in just three movies and a series when it comes to Sonic.

Paramount has already announced “Sonic 3 The Movie” and a series focused on Knuckles for Paramount+ , and now the plan is to grow even more, with more series and movies, including possible spin-offs focusing on other characters in this universe.
